The results!....

Today I had a re-examination after my two weeks and got some AMAZING results (see xray)! This xray is looking straight at my back (if you were standing directly behind me taking a photo).

My top angle decreased from 34 to 15 degrees!
My lower angle decreased from 57 to 39 degrees!

I am soooo relieved that all the hard work is starting to pay off and this totally motivates me to keep going to get those angles down to close to 0.

My center of balance also improved (see % of weight proportion on this image).

What at great day. I am so inspired by the Clear Institute!

What is Scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side. Although, it is a complex three-dimensional deformity, on an x-ray, viewed from the rear, the spine of an individual with a typical scoliosis may look more like an "S" or a "C" than a straight line.

Scoliosis is known to affect 2% - 3% of the population or approx. 6 million people in the US....4.5% of college-aged girls and 12% of adult females. 100,000 new cases are diagnosed ever year.

The primary age of onset for scoliosis is 10 – 15 years old during puberty, occurring equally among both genders. However females are 8 times more likely to progress to a curve magnitude that requires treatment.

Scoliosis can impact the quality of life through limited activity, pain, reduced respiratory function or diminished self esteem and can cause an estimated 10 year reduction in life expectancy.

Early detection and treatment is extremely important to track the progression and magnitude of the curve
